Welcome to Australian Country Tours

We invite you to step out of your familiar world and experience the Wonderful in the true sense of the word – at AUSTRALIAN COUNTRY TOURS it is life as we know it in rural Australia. Just for a day or three let us take you by the hand and give you an insider’s glimpse into our world.

In our world, time has stood still in only the best of ways. We’re not fussed, harried and hurried out here, and yet we have all the mod cons enjoyed by our city cousins. Even good coffee.

Out here we know the stars because we can actually see them. Clean air, clean sky. And we will take you and your friends to dine under them if you like, out in the middle of nowhere.

And the food! The country is where it comes from. On an AUSTRALIAN COUNTRY TOURS experience your food is prepared with fresh ingredients so local that your home-made Anzac biscuit will wave g’day to its family wheat crop as you drive by on your tour bus!

Come to us and experience the warmth of our country welcome. See our homes and our special, secret places only a local can show you; enjoy our fabulous scenery; see our wild and tame animals, meet our people, eat our food and most of all - understand why we live where we live.

From a 1-night stay to escape from city lights to experience dining in style under the stars (min 6 people) to the full catastrophe of a fabulous planned tour of 2, 3 or more nights taking in the whole region (min 10 people), AUSTRALIAN COUNTRY TOURS will make your country adventure a truly different and memorable experience.

For your interest group, organisation, business or club, Australian Country Tours will tailor and organise all the details of your tour within a tour.

About Us

About Us

Adventure has many guises.

Not everyone wants to climb mountains – but lots of us love getting amongst them.

Here at AUSTRALIAN COUNTRY TOURS on the Western Darling Downs adventure can be as simple as finding a group of wild kangaroos grazing in their natural habitat just on sundown; or dining al fresco on white linen in a farmer’s paddock, with nothing but the Milky Way between you and the universe, no city lights to dim your view of the marvel that is the Southern Cross.

Hello Jane and Robert..!

We have all landed safely back in the States and are still in awe of the fabulous time we had with you!

It was truly a magical evening full of harmony and good juju! Watching the rain move for us and clouds part for us just put the ribbon on the whole gift of life.

Thank you for sharing your home and lives with us. We will certainly spread the word and some of us will be back :-)

Love to all and have a peaceful holiday season and fruitful new year.

- Tiffany of Colorado, USA -

Dear Robert & Jane,

I wish to pass on my personal thanks for your passion towards providing exceptional hospitality and driving business within our beautiful region.

The Chanel 7 crew who had a reservation at your motel over the weekend of 28th & 29th April made special remarks to me about the stand out hospitality they had received from you during their stay and I felt that it was important to pass this feedback on to you.

The lasting impression this leaves on those travelling through our region holds such a great value in the return business of travellers, and word of mouth promotion to other tourists looking to venture to the Western Downs.

Once again I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to you for your unwavering passion, and congratulate you on your ongoing efforts to provide exceptional hospitality and promote this wonderful region of ours.

- Paul McVeigh, Western Downs Regional Council Mayor
